LEAD Pakistan is organizing a two day international conference on Water Sustainability: Access, Equity & Hazards. Ensuring water sustainability has emerged as a key resource management challenge for the developing countries such as Pakistan. High population growth rates coupled with rampant urbanization and weak regulatory frameworks have created unprecedented stress on water resources. This situation has led to serious issues of water scarcity, resource depletion and contamination. The uncertainty introduced with climate change has further complicated the scenario. This conference aims to address such issues of water sustainability through the lens of Access, Equity and Hazards.
