Syed Zulfiqar Ahmed
Zulfiqar Ahmad is Assistant Coordinator in
Finance & Accounts at LEAD Pakistan. His
work focuses on preparation of payment
vouchers, issuing sales and invoices,
depositing received remittances, and data
entry.
Before joining LEAD, he worked at khushhali
Bank, where he was responsible for
maintaining bank and accounting records and
liaising with other banks.
Earlier, he completed his five years of
professional training as an accountant with
Sidat Hyder Qamar & Co. Chartered
accountants, Islamabad.

Sobia Fatima
Sobia Fatima holds M.Sc degree in
Applied Psychology
She is working as YPO (Young
Professional Officer) in the Human
Resource Unit of LEAD Pakistan,
assisting in the implementation of HR
Plan and developing and maintaining
skilled and experienced human capital
for the organization.
She likes cooking, listening to music
and watching movies in spare time. She
aspires to utilize her academic
qualification, practical knowledge and
professional expertise to attain a
rewarding career.

Yasir Mehmood
Yasir Mehmood has done Bachelors in Mass
Communication.
He started his carrier from NADRA
Pakistan and then joined Paramount
Pharmaceuticals. He has also worked with
Pakistan Army as LDC/Data Entry Operator
for two and a half years.
Moreover he has worked with Comsats as
Data Entry Operator and Bahria Town’s
project.
He enjoys playing cricket and being with
my family in free time.

Nadeem Ahmad
Nadeem is a gold-medalist in MPhil
Psychology from Quaid-i-Azam University,
Islamabad and is presently pursuing his
Doctoral studies from the same
institute.
Previously, he has worked with Gallup
and Lakson Group. In both the
organizations, he was involved in
research and field operations
management. His expertise includes
computer assisted quantitative and
qualitative data analysis, focus group
moderation, proposal writing and project
management. At LEAD Pakistan, he is
involved in coordination and management
of Policy and Applied Research
He aspires to make the world a better
place for poor youth of Pakistan
He enjoys tennis, reading books on
politics, history and religion.

Sobia Umer
Faisal
Sobia Faisal holds MSc in Anthropology
Reading various types of books and
watching National Geographic channel.
She is working as YPO in the Training
Unit with LEAD Pakistan. Her
responsibilities include organizing and
coordinating activities for Leadership
Development Program – the flagship
program of LEAD Pakistan. She has
co-mentored online courses and also
executed training sessions.
She wants to play an effective role in
the society and bring about a positive
and progressive change in the
development of the nation. She earnestly
wants to do something noteworthy and
constructive for the righteous cause of
social well-being by applying her
knowledge in the practical field.

Atif Haider
Atif Haider has multiple qualifications
in the field of Finance and Accounts. He
is CA- Finalist and APA – Associate
member of Pakistan Institute of Public
Finance Accountants
He has eight years of extensive work
experience in detailed account analysis,
internal audits of many organizations
and NGO’s, forecasting and developing
financial strategies, budgets,
book-keeping, preparing financial plans,
financial statements, handling tax
matters, monitoring the budgets and
preparing reports for the management.
Previously he had worked with NLC
Engineers as Manager Finance & Accounts.
He has also worked as Manager Internal
Audit in Sungi Development Foundation.
He enjoys traveling and reading.

Uddin Shaikh
Waseem has done Masters in Economics and is
pursuing ICMAP certification presently.
He is working with LEAD Pakistan as
Assistant Programme – Finance & Accounts. He
has previously worked as P.T Accounts
Consultant with Paktel Franchise. He has
also worked with NOWA Fellowship project as
an Account Assistant in the capacities of
accounts, auditing and administration.
He would like to qualify the ICMA & ACCA in
future. He enjoys reading books and
newspaper.

Muhammad Yousaf
Yousaf has done Masters in Computer Sciences
(MCS)
He is working with LEAD Pakistan as
In-charge Help Desk - ICT Section
responsible for ensuring prompt resolution
of all software and hardware problems,
updating the office database and IT
maintenance.
Previously, he has worked with Comsats
Internet Services as Assistant Program
Office. He has also worked with Actionaid
Pakistan as Coordinator IT in its Emergency
and Reconstruction Project. His
responsibilities included providing IT
related services in Islamabad as well as in
its four field offices in Mansehra,
Battagram, Bagh and Muzafarabad.

Hina
Lotia
Hina Lotia has done Masters in Economics
from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad
She joined LEAD Pakistan in 1999 as Program
Assistant. Currently heading the Program
Development Department as General Manager,
she is involved with identifying and
managing LEAD Pakistan’s partnership
portfolio with other organizations and
developing project proposals to key donors
and institutions. She has five years of
extensive experience in module development;
planning, coordinating, and organizing
training activities, conferences and
stakeholders dialogues; and institutional
development activities.
She aspires to be a valuable part of the
process which brings about a change and lots
of happiness into the lives of people.
In her spare time, Hina likes reading and
listening to music.

Syed Arslan Zaidi
Syed Arslan has done Masters in
Information Technology.
He is Project Management Professional (PMP)
from Project Management Institute (PMI)
Islamabad. HE joined LEAD Pakistan in
year 2006 as Coordinator Special Project
Unit. He was working with Pakistan
Software Export Board (PSEB) previously.
His aim in life: “I am here for a
purpose and that purpose is to grow into
a mountain, not to shrink to a
grain of sand. Henceforth will I apply
all my efforts to become the highest
mountain of all and I will strain my
potential until it cries for mercy” (Og
Mandino)

Amjad Zafar Khan
Amjad holds MBA degree in addition to
Postgraduate diploma in computer-based
Development Planning Techniques (DPT)
from the Institute of Social Studies (ISS),
The Hague and The Netherlands.
He has been associated with LEAD Pakistan
since 1999. Currently, he is heading the
Project Management department as General
Manager. He is responsible for developing a
range of projects related to leadership
development, training, capacity building,
fundraising, etc; management of local
network; liaison with other LEAD programs;
and management of LEADnet.
He has extensive and diversified experience
of financial and operational management in
the private and autonomous government
corporations. He has assisted in the policy
formulation, planning, and operational
management of public sector manufacturing
units. Having specialized in cost-benefit
analysis for project evaluation, especially,
in the area of macroeconomic modeling, Amjad
possesses in-depth knowledge of the latest
budgetary monitoring techniques.
He likes hiking and exercise in leisure
time.

Hammad
Raza Khan
Hammad Raza holds a degree in
International Development Studies from
Canada, Computer Science from UK and MBA
from Pakistan.
He joined LEAD Pakistan as Manager-Project
Management Office. He is an International
Development practitioner with rich
experience in program management. He has a
strong track in beneficiary participation
activities, government departments and their
planning, relationship with donors and
participatory approaches to policymaking.

Rehmat Karim
ACMA-Foundation
He is working with LEAD Pakistan as
Coordinator Project Management
Department. He has
been associated with development sector
since January 2002. Previously, he has
worked with HOAP (a development
organization) for four years in
different positions which included
assistant HR officer, In-charge
Reporting Unit, Manager Human Resources,
Head of HOAP Relief & Rehabilitation
Programme and Manager Education
Programme.
He would like to seek career not for the
sake of employment but as an opportunity
to develop himself as a dynamic
leader/trend-setter in development
sector.

Aisha
Mansur
Ayesha has done B.Sc. (Honors) in
Economics from the University of London
She is working with LEAD Pakistan in the
Project Management department as an
Assistant Coordinator. She is presently
responsible for the coordination of 3
development projects. The scope of
responsibilities include designing, managing
and implementing the Project Management Plan
for each project, developing and improving
all process related guidelines, ensuring
that project targets are met on time and
within the defined budget.
She had also been involved previously in the
Corporate Social Responsibility and
Partnership Program with LEAD Pakistan. The
key responsibilities involved preparing case
studies, conducting research into the
evolving trends and global issues facing
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and
assisting in forging partnerships.
She enjoys reading in spare time.

Hyder
Shar
Hyder (Associate Cohort 12) is LLB and
holds Masters in Sociology
He is a development practitioner, working
with LEAD Pakistan, Islamabad in the
capacity of YPO in Project Management
Department (PMD). Before his appointment as
YPO, he was working as District Coordinator
School Improvement Grant (SIG) at DEMO
project office in Khairpur District. The
project is supported by Education Sector
Reforms Assistance (ESRA) programme and
United States Agency for International
Development USAID. He has been entrusted to
supervise the activities related to SIG and
to manage the School Improvement Grants of
1300 primary schools in Khairpur District.
Mr. Shar has been working as a Coordinator
START (Student Teacher Appreciation and
Recognition Token) Package, with LEAD
Pakistan, where he led all the activities of
START Package and managed the START
activities at Khairpur and Sukkur Districts.
He has also worked as Social Research
Officer (Social Scientist) in the Department
of Paediatrics, The Aga Khan University,
Karachi. The project was a joint venture of
World Health Organization (WHO) & Johns
Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health
USA; supported by USAID.
He has also been involved with Strengthening
Participatory Organization (SPO) Sindh. Mr
Shar’s experience of working as a sub-editor
with The Mirror, a daily from Karachi, lends
charm to his report-writing skills. He has
also written articles and letters in Sindhi
and English daily newspapers on development
and environmental issues
He aspires to work for the elevation of down
trodden class of Pakistan through
leadership.
He enjoys book reading and watching Current
Affair programs.
