Anaylsis of the Forestry sector of Pakistan, 4 provinces and one district in each province, AJK, and Nothern Areas.

Project Objectives

The purpose of the Project is to inculcate ownership of forest policies among different stakeholders in forestry sector. This is to be done by proposing sustainable fora that will be representative of all the stakeholders and will undertake proper analysis, implementation and monitoring of forest policies.

Project Brief

• Increase input by key stakeholders in policy analysis, implementation, and monitoring through appropriate consultation mechanisms; and
• Prepare a proposal for testing a “model forum” at provincial or district level on a specific issue, such as the formulation of community forestry legislation. The exact topic will be determined in consultation with representatives of the Ministry of Environment.
