REDD-net Asia: A Dialogue with Governments and CSOs in the Asia-Pacific Region

REDD-net is an initiative of the UNFCCC to reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation and enhance forest carbon stocks in developing countries (REDD+). REDD-net Asia was an effort by LEAD Pakistan and CDKN to support the activities of REDD-net, a global knowledge sharing network that builds the capacity of southern civil society to champion the interests of the poor on REDD+. We did this by building on linkages between local concerns and experiences and national/regional processes as well as promoting dialogue and collaboration between government decision-makers and civil society stakeholders in the Asia-Pacific region.

This has resulted in significant contributions to research and knowledge sharing via case studies, regional bulletins and policy briefs related to gender, opportunity costs competing with drivers of deforestation and community-based CCA and implications for REDD+.
