The Climate Asia Communications
Climate Asia was a two year project that provided the first comprehensive study across Asian to people’s understanding and attitudes towards climate change.
The workshop aimed to promote an effective understanding of the major issues and debates in the climate change arena in Pakistan and to discuss dynamic communication strategies geared towards raising awareness around climate related issues.
- Working in seven countries – Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan and Vietnam – the project will include a survey of 25,000 people, as well as a range of more in-depth qualitative research approaches.
- The proposed workshop will bring a range of local experts, government officials, corporate directors, media experts, leading academics and creative specialists – who all have different skills and specialist knowledge to share.
- As part of this process, BBC Media Action is convening Communications Workshops as a way to combine the global network of the BBC with specialist local knowledge from a range of experts in each of the focal countries.
- The outputs from the project will then be fed into a comprehensive national qualitative and quantitative research process.
