Ikram Ul Haque Qureshi | Member

Mr. Ikram Ul Haque Qureshi’s professional experience includes 10 plus years of hands-on experience in current and post Privatisation transactions related matters at the Privatisation Commission (PC) and competition, corporate law enforcement, compliance, litigation, transactional and investment related matters at the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP). In addition, Ikram Qureshi offers 16 years of extensive experience in consumer protection and securities laws gained at the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Infrastructure Project Development Facility, PTCL, Partner of leading Law Firms and private practitioner.

At present, he is serving as Senior Legal Consultant at the PC handling all legal matters including drafting of pleadings, vetting transactional documents, negotiations and litigation including complexed post privatisation matters pending adjudication before the superior courts.  As a Partner of leading law firm, he advised Clients on competition, transactions, intellectual property, Corporate Law and regulatory affairs. He has held retainership as Senior Legal Advisor of various companies. As Member at CCP, Mr. Ikram Qureshi served as adjudicator on all contentious matters initiated by and before the CCP.

For six years, he has served as the Director General & Registrar of CCP, successfully managing various departments including the legal Department, compliance and Corporate Affairs department and the establishment of the Office of Fair Trade. Furthermore, he represented CCP at Senate/National Assembly Committees, Superior Courts & several international forums such as OECD, ICN, etc.  He has taught company law to CA students and trained NAB officials as well as delivering lectures to Civil Servants at National Institute of Management at Islamabad and Peshawar.  He has also delivered lectures at University College London, and Universities in China. He has also trained African Union’s officials of Competition Commission in a World Bank funded program. He was a member of the Corporate Advisory Council at Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto University of Law, Karachi.

His qualification LLM in Corporate Laws, LL.B (Hons) and BA in Criminal Justice from USA and Master Class on Public Private Partnership from Bond University, Australia affords him a keen insight into legal and regulatory matters to better appreciate and assist the business community in realizing its potential for the eventual benefit of the state economy.
