Voicing Issues of Human Rights
Victims in Pakistan
|
|
 |
Objectives
The proposed project is an
innovative means to raise
awareness about human rights in
Pakistan by creating an
interactive link between public
leaders and victims of human
rights violations by having such
leaders directly interact with
human rights victims in their
communities to learn of their
plight, concerns and issues.
These leaders will then advocate
the issues highlighted to
strengthen human rights
mechanisms in the country.
The main purpose of such an
interaction and resulting
advocacy is to promote and
strengthen national human rights
policies through raising the
concerns of such victims and
initiating a debate on the human
rights issues to positively
influence human rights policy in
Pakistan.
