Dr. Adil Najam
Dr. Adil Najam holds the Frederick S. Pardee Endowed Chair for
Global Public Policy at Boston Univeristy, where he is also a
Professor of International Relations, a Professor of Geography and
the Environment, and the Director of the Pardee Center for the Study
of the Longer-Range Future.
Prof. Najam was part of the team of IPCC scientists awarded the 2007
Nobel Peace Prize for their work in advancing the public
understanding of climate change science. He served as a Lead Author
for the Third and Fourth Assessments of the Intergovernmental Panel
on Climate Change (IPCC), focusing on the relationship between
climate and development. His research and teaching spans a variety
of topics all related to sustainable development policy for
developing countries, especially focusing on issues of climate
change, international trade, global governance, and human security.
Prof. Najam has published widely, written over 100 scholarly papers
and book chapters.
Prof. Najam holds two Masters and a PhD from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology (MIT), a Specialization in Negotiation from
the Program on Negotiation at the Harvard Law School, and an
engineering degree from the University of Engineering and Technology
(UET), Pakistan. He is a past winner of MIT’s Goodwin Medal for
Effective Teaching, the Fletcher School Paddock Teaching Award, and
the Stein Rokan Award of the International Political Science
Association.

Alex Hannant
Alex Hannant is part of the LEAD International team responsible for
the design, development and co-ordination of international projects
delivered by, and through, the LEAD Network. Alex has specific
responsibility as a Programme Manager for the climate change
programme.Alex has a background in business development,
communications strategy and project management. He has international
experience and has worked with a range of business, government,
research and non-profit organisations.Before recently returning to
the UK, Alex worked as a consultant in New Zealand focusing on the
communication challenges of climate change. Alex also worked in a
project development capacity for a carbon finance project in the
South Pacific.Previously, Alex has worked as the Development Manager
for a design and production company and as a International Market
Services Coordinator for Victoria University of Wellington, New
Zealand. Alex has a BA Hons in English Literature and Psychology and
a Masters of Development Studies.

Dr. Harish
Jeswani
Dr. Harish Jeswani has PhD in corporate climate change strategies
from University of Surrey, UK. Dr. Jeswani is currently working on
different research projects involving carbon footprinting, life
cycle analysis (LCA) and sustainability analysis at the University
of Manchester, UK. Previously, he has worked with BP Pakistan
Exploration and Production Inc. as environmental engineer where he
was responsible for development and implementation of ISO14001 for
oil and gas exploration and production facilities. He also worked
for four years as a Technology-Coordinator on ‘Environmental
Technology Program for Industry’ (ETPI) project in Pakistan. At this
project, he worked with fertilizer, petroleum, automotive, cement,
edible oil, pharmaceutical and textile industries in developing and
implementing environmental and energy-efficiency projects. He has
Masters in Environmental Engineering from University of Sydney,
Australia and Bachelors in Civil Engineering from Mehran University,
Pakistan. Dr. Jeswani is also a lead auditor for ISO14001-based
environmental management system.

Rafal Serafin
Rafal Serafin has worked in the environmental field for over 20
years in Canada, Europe and in Poland. He holds a BSc (Hons) in
Environmental Sciences from the University of East Anglia, UK
(1981), a MSc in Environmental Studies from the University of
Toronto (1985) and a PhD from the University of Waterloo (1991). He
has worked on environmental improvement projects in Poland since the
mid-1980s.
In
1991, he returned to Poland to work as an environmental consultant
to the Progress & Business Foundation in Kraków which was involved
in advising on the restructuring of Poland´s oil and chemical
industries. In 1995, he became the first Director of the Kraków
Development Forum -- an umbrella organization of government,
business and NGO leaders committed to promoting partnerships for
sustainable development. Rafal joined IBLF as The Partnering
Initiative Development Director in 2008. He joined from the Polish
Environmental Partnership Foundation (www.epce.org.pl)
-- an independent Polish not-for-profit foundation committed to
initiating, designing and implementing local environmental
improvement projects in partnership with local NGOs, business and
local communities where since 1997 he was the Director. Rafal is a
tutor at the University of Cambridge post-graduate diploma on
"Cross-Sector Partnerships for Sustainable Development", European
Associate Director of the Partnership Brokers Accreditation Scheme (PBAS)
organized by the Prince of Wales International Business Leaders
Forum and an alumni of the Prince of Wales Business and Environment
Programme.
