LEAD Pakistan is organizing – for the first time in Pakistan – a Corporate Summit on Climate Change in February 2009 in Karachi, Pakistan. The Corporate Summit, an exclusive event aimed at increasing the involvement of corporations in Pakistan on the crucial issue of climate change, will provide a unique opportunity to discuss climate change concerns by providing a common platform to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices. This will entail future actions that encourage climate friendly business practices and measures.

The Summit will bring together corporate leaders who are concerned about climate change and its impacts. This includes CEOs, Managing Directors, General Managers, Environmentalists, and Corporate Social Responsibility specialists, among others.

2nd National Training Session (Cohort 13): Climate Change-Exploring Adaptation Strategies for Pakistan

January 12 – 16, 2009

LEAD Pakistan is organizing five day training for the mid career professionals on the theme of Climate Change: Exploring Adaptation Strategies for Pakistan. The training is scheduled from 12th – 16th, 2009 January at LEAD House, Islamabad. The training is a part of the Leadership Development Programme for Cohort 13. 

The training will revolve around the overall objective of considering strategies for adapting to climate change, in particular to water, agriculture, and infrastructure sectors in Pakistan. The session will also summarize the key internal interests that have to be considered in the formulation of major national policies related to climate change and the external negotiating position of Pakistan.
