Lecture by Dr. Adil Najam on Climate Change

LEAD Pakistan organized a lecture by Dr. Adil Najam on  “Environment, Development and Security: The Case of Climate Change” on March 31, 2008 in Islamabad.

The talk was attended by government officials, the civil society, academia, students and leading corporations. The panel included the Chairperson, Dr. Amir Mohammad, Rector, FAST National University, Ali Tauqeer Sheikh, National Program Director/CEO, LEAD Pakistan and Dr. Adil Najam, Professor at the Boston University, USA.

LEAD Pakistan has initiated an action oriented Climate Change Program this year aimed to fully understand and respond to the impact of climate change at the national and local levels. The talk by Dr. Najam was one of the steps towards increasing the knowledge and understanding of climate change with respect to development.
